Paragraph 175 shows how homosexual men were persecuted in Nazi Germany during the war. Forced to wear a pink triangle as a form of identity, gay men were eventually thrown into prison camps where most perished. This documentary starts at a time when there are nearly ten of the survivors left to interview. For me this shows a history that I would not have known otherwise. I always knew what the pink triangle represented but to be able to listen to men that were there and lived through it - that makes this documentary celluloid gold.
